Some people say our region has 2 seasons, winter and summer. I see it as 8 seasons: early winter – lake effect season; late winter – cold and grey season; spring – budding, greening and sprouting season; early summer – full bloom, warm and low humidity season; late summer – hot season; and fall – nice weather, colorful trees and raking season. My seasons start with early winter on November 21, late winter January 21, spring March 21 (March 20 this year), early summer May 21, late summer July 21, and fall September 21. In winter, I count the days. All other seasons, I take the tons of perfect days for granted as everyone else does.

Reside in East Amherst, NY. Have lived in Western New York since 1989. My first trip to Ontario was as a consultant in 1983. I worked on several projects between 1983 and 1989 over several years in Toronto, Hamilton, and North Bay. I love Buffalo, Southern Ontario and Toronto, and as a region, it's ONE awesome region, with ONE being an acronym for Ontario, Niagara, Erie.
